If you get the cable channel, Turner Classic Movies is in the middle of their 31 Days of Oscar film festival. All the movies shown are Oscar winners or nominees and all are uncut and commercial free. It's an easy way to see lots of great movies.
I managed to catch the first two Best Picture winners: Wings (1929) and The Broadway Melody (1930) so I only have 3 more Best Picture winners I haven't seen yet. Wings was silent and had some amazing early airplane sequences. The Broadway Melody was an early talkie and the first musical.
My TiVo will be busy.
