Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

Recreating Hitchcock
Vanity Fair decided to recreate scenes from classic Hitchcock films using modern day actors and actresses. Lots of pics if you follow the link. It's a neat idea but honestly I'd have no interest in seeing these films, the originals were too good.

I guess as fashion shots they are interesting. But somehow I don't really care to see modern actors in those roles, even just for a photo. It seems more like some photographer or producer's pet project than anything else.
