My Vote Counted

It seems in my town Obama won by 17 votes and Romney won by 11. This was close. No surprise that more than 5 times as many people voted in the Democratic primary than in the Republican one.

I was surprised to see 8 Democratic candidates on the ballot but am more surprised to see that 366 people voted for candidates no longer running. Maybe it was a statement, but in so close an election it's unfortunate.

The overall state results are a little different but at least the Democratic delegates are assigned proportionally to the vote.

Barak won in Boston by a comfortable number, and way too many people voted for those not running.
