Last Nights Daily Show

Jon Stewart was brilliant last night.

First showing the hypocrisy of Karl Rove, Bill O'Reilly, Dick Morris and Nancy Pfotenhauer:

Most of this next clip is silly but kinda funny. Though at about 2.5 minutes in after Bush says McCain's resolve was tested as a POW, Stewart says "Guantanmo Bay isn't a prison, it's a leadership academy". At 4 minutes he points out Thompson and Lieberman complaining about the culture of Washington are in fact complaining about themselves..

The interview was with Newt Gingrich who was frighteningly brilliant. He was hypocritical and ingenuous (sometimes within the same sentence) and still came across as serious and funny (it is a comedy show).

Aww... you pointed out all the intelligent, on-point elements in wednesday's Daily Show and didn't mention the completely inappropriate and uproariously funny gay bathroom sex bit at the beginning. While I recognize it offered nothing productive to the political discourse, I had to pause the DVR until I quit laughing too hard to follow what was happening. Maybe straight people found it less funny? I'm sure staunch Republicans (and Larry Craig, of course) didn't find it all that amusing.
