"A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot. The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant."
It certainly a better idea than naming schools or an airport after him. I think something that generates waste rather than cleans it up is probably more appropriate, but there is some logic to the proposal. "In President Bush's case, we think that we will be cleaning up a substantial mess for the next 10 or 20 years. The sewage treatment facility's job is to clean up a mess, so we think it's a fitting tribute."

I've been reading about this for a while now.
Interestingly enough, the people who oppose this ballot are the ones who say the sewage treatment plant is revolutionary and will be the model of efficiency and utility - and therefore too good to have Bush's name attached...
