Patrick Smith writes the "Ask the pilot" column at Salon, his latest is quite good. He wonders why, as a pilot of a plane, he isn't allowed to bring on board the same metal knife that they hand out to first and business class passengers. it's a good rant, but he never asks the question, "Why don't they have problems with the metal fork I'm bringing on board?". He goes on about other TSA issues, it's worth a read.
