I had no idea that the US set off close to 1000 nuclear explosion within our own borders.

As I was watching the Hashimoto video I immediately flashed (no pun intended) back to the end of War Games.
Given the number of nuclear test explosions, it's a good thing above ground testing essentially stopped in 1964.
