Clinton and The Path to 9/11

I guess I can't help myself. Here's some more on ABC's The Path to 9/11.

ABC wouldn't give advanced copies to prominent democrats portrayed in the film including President Clinton, Madeleine Albright or Sandy Berger, even when they asked. They did give advanced copies to prominent conservative bloggers and radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh.

A Clinton spokesman said about the show: "The record shows that President Clinton was committed to and focused on stopping terrorism every day," Carson emailed us, "and that his administration had many significant successes on this front, and he expects that any serious treatment of history would reflect that."

And then Clinton's Lawyer sent a letter to ABC.

In conjunction with ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11, Scholastic and ABC have released a "Discussion Guide for the Classroom" aimed at high school teachers nationwide to "[e]ncourage your students and their families to watch The Path to 9/11 and use the accompanying" discussion guide as part of their lesson plan. A Media Matters for America review of the material finds it to be rife with conservative misinformation.
