I have to say Obama 08: The Official iPhone and iPod Touch Application is pretty impressive. It has up-to-date news, video ads, events etc. If you let it, it will go through your address book, organize it by battleground states and give you a way to track calling your friends to get convince them to vote (there's a field to list if you talked to them, if they're voting, etc.). There's also a link to the issues with full policy descriptions so you can answer anyone's question on their platform. Nice stuff.
