Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

Us 40 somethings are the ones who should be pissed, but I think we never expected Social Security to be around when we retired anyway. I will attempt to leave it out of my calculations.
I am more concerned about the poor who do not have the ability to save for retirement and really depend on these benefits. So much of the deficit reduction discussion, and SS is part of it, seems to be so regressive against low wage earners.
