Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

The Ten Best Television Shows of the Aughts
Guess what show tops Pajiba's The Ten Best Television Shows of the Aughts? Yup. I like the top 9 a lot. Number 10 is Veronica Mars which I've heard good things about but haven't seen. Any readers seen it and recommend it?

Whit and I were both Veronica Mars fans, the review you linked to do did it justice. The show was well plotted, dialogue well written, and the chemistry between Veronica and her father was great. Oh, yeah, Kristen Bell is a babe.
I watched it and enjoyed it, but I wouldn't put it at the caliber of the other shows on the list (or some that should have been on the list). I think the great aspects got overwelmed by whiney teenage angst at times. I concur with Paul about the star though.
