SpaceX Just Made History. Again.

SpaceX Just Made History. Again. "SpaceX scored a spectacular launch success [Tuesday] when the maiden flight of their upgraded Falcon 9 rocket scorched the sky of the Florida Space Coast and successfully delivered a commercial space satellite to geostationary orbit for the first time ever – thereby revolutionizing the commercial space industry from this day forward."

I am having trouble identifying what is history making for SpaceX? Is it that it is a new rocket? That it is a private company doing this? You are well aware that Orbital Sciences is a private company that also launches satellites and interplanetary probes and deliveries to the Space Station from NASA Wallops. They are using recommissioned engines. is that the difference?

I feel like I am missing something with these SpaceX launches that are just the "regular" satellite launches.

It's that it went to Geosynchronous orbit, much higher than the space station.
