Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

I never thought that measles killed so many people, it's in a second place after smallpox. My earliest memory is of being ill with measles at about 1 year old. I was very sick and the room that I was in was darkened around the clock with curtains. It's more of a feeling of being in an abyss for a very long time. I definitely have a newly found respect for measles. If only parents vaccinated their kids!

My parents were good about vaccinating me and I credit you with getting me to get an annual flu shot :) In fact, it's that time of year...
