The classic joke... "q: How can you tell McCain is lying? a: His lips are moving."
Over and over again LYING about whether or not Obama repudiated the excessive statements of Lewis... the campaign more or less immediately issued a statement that the comparison to George Wallace went too far, and Obama repeated that at the debate. That's the ONLY part of Lewis' comment that was excessive, and McCain would have to wear a big scarlet "L" instead of a flag pin for the rest of the campaign if he wants to keep whining about that.
As to the Ayers thing... well, Perhaps they want Obama to say he and Ayers are secretly gay lovers who plan to undermine American families by adopting babies and turn them into IED-making gay muslim terrorists?
Hopefully an electoral landslide will be enough to shut them up, but I wouldn't bet a mortgage payment on it, even if the landslide part happens.
