Glenn Greenwald talks about Scott McClellan on the "liberal media". "How much longer can this preposterous myth be sustained when even the White House Spokesman not only mocks the phrase but derides the media for being "too deferential" to the right-wing Government "in regard to the most important decision facing the nation during [his] years in Washington"? If one were to set about with the goal of debunking the "Liberal Media" myth -- as Eric Alterman specifically did four years ago and other media critics have more generally done before that -- one couldn't dream up evidence more conclusive than McClellan's admissions."
He continues in Network news anchors praise the job they did in the run-up to the war

Scott McClellan is such a light-weight and an idiot. The President talked candidly in front of Scott and Scott stabbed him in the back.
If you don't want to see how the sausage is made, then don't go in the kitchen.
Anonymous: I'd have to say that anyone who took as long as he did to realize that he was the front-line liar and apologist for a bunch of deceptive, self-serving hacks putting the nation's security at risk time and again might qualify as an idiot.
I'm looking forward to seeing him squirm on the Daily Show during his book tour.
I think the Daily Show last night did great stuff on him. First by showing all the various GOPers using the exact same "doesn't sound like him" talking points. Obviously scripted. And second by using McClellan's words about Richard Clarke's book back at him.
I since give my comments about McClellan a little slack. He didn't say anything at the time because Rove and Libby lied to his face and it (idiotically) took him 2 years to find out the truth. Still that would have been 3 years ago.
Still there is now I think for the first time evidence from a real insider (not just Clarke) that the administration lied to start a war. I'd still be happy with impeachment. Let Pelosi clean things up for several months before Obama gets into office.
