Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

Recounting Recount by digby
digby's thoughts after watching HBO's Recount. I enjoyed it and yeah it did make me mad again.
I was a little hesitant, but I went ahead and watched RECOUNT. I squirmed and got angry all over again. Being from Miami-Dade County, it really hit home and opened some wounds.
I have been cynical after every election after that year. It took me 2 years to get my father off the books after he died.
Right now they are throwing out the computer ballot machines and going for an electronic voting machine with a paper receipt for back up. Let's see how it goes.
