1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die

"1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die" is a big list. It's a little unwieldy but I think I've seen 529 of them. leaving 471 to see, many of which I've never heard of. I think there are 67 since 1990. Anyone else care to go through and count?

You actually read through all 1001? Wow. How long did that take?

Moulin Rouge? Please, other than Ewan McGregor singing an excellent version of Elton John's "Your Song", it sucked. I would have been perfectly capable of dying without having seen it.

I copied them to a file, made a copy, and deleted all the ones I've seen. Took maybe 20 mins.

There are a bunch on the list I question. I happen to like Hitchcock's Sabotage (1936) but it's not a must see. The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957)? I recently saw and had nothing but contempt for Contempt (1963). And I can't call The Man Who Fell to Earth a must see, nor Prizzi's Honor or Jacob's Ladder. I'm not a horror fan but in no way are Candyman or Puppetmaster must sees.

Oh and I really liked the first half hour of Moulin Rouge. Lots of energy and totally unique.

is this just some random persons list? Doesn't seem worth wasting grey cells on...
