Fatal Attraction as done by Masterpiece Theater. It's a stretch and far tamer in this film, but there's even a bunny analog. Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett are both potential oscar nominees.
The narative device is Judi Dench writing in her diary. She's a self-described old battle axe of history teacher and Blanchett is a new art teacher in the school. A friendship forms between them and then it gets strange. Blanchett is having an affair with a male student and Dench believes she can win Blanchett's heart. It was well done but for whatever reason I wasn't particularly enaged.
