James Kwak acknowledges my congressman, Good for You, Barney. "Barney Frank, chair of the House Financial Services Committee, barred Michael Paese, a former committee staff member and now Goldman Sachs lobbyist, from lobbying anyone on the Democratic side of the committee until the end of 2010."

Considering the extent to which Wall Street, and in particular Goldman Sachs, seems to run the the Presidency, Congress, the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve, Congressman Barney Frank needs to show some real credibility instead of this silly meaningless theatre.
As Paese is now not allowed to offically lobby members of Frank's committee, surely he will not continue to use his government access and connections, bought and paid for by our tax dollars while he worked for Congressman Frank, to full advantage "behind the scenes". But it's ok for him to Lobby any other Congressman, Congresswoman, Senator, Treasury Official, Federal Reserve employee, member of the Obama Administration, that's all OK as long as he doesn't officially lobby a Democratic member of Frank's committee. I guess the Republican members of the committee are immune to lobbyists.
Oops, didn't see that loophole.
I wonder what Paese's pay raise was in jumping from Congressional staffer to Goldman Sachs stooge?
Please, former staffer Paese is "laughing all the way to the Bank" while this pathetic manuever by Congressman Frank will have about as much effect on changing the control that Wall Street exerts over our government, as will the Republican outcry over ACORN impact the Federal Debt, because of the out-of-control goverment spending on groups like Acorn.
When I see real reform then I will acknowledge it.
I wonder which one of Frank's current staffers dreamed up this little gem of an idea.
