Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

Foleygate Update
Here is "a narrative of warnings and interventions before the leadership says it knew about Foley's problem."
Speaking of Chris Wallace (as was mentioned in the blog to which you linked, did you see his interview in NYT Magazine this Sunday? He was a tad, um, gruff....
What political party do you belong to?
None of your business.
Your father, the legendary newsman Mike Wallace, has been a vocal critic of the war in Iraq.
Is that a question?
No, it’s a statement. After your father criticized President Bush recently, why did you say publicly that he had “lost it”?
I was teasing. Some people apparently don’t have much of a sense of humor.
....
If I have a follow-up question, may I call you tomorrow?
You’re done. I didn’t have an opportunity for a follow-up question with Bill Clinton. You get your chance, you take advantage of it.
