The White House on Health Insurance Reform

The White House Blog wrote House Call on Health Insurance Reform. "A new video featuring interviews with many of those doctors serves as a reminder that the people at the real frontlines of the health care battle are not lobbyists or politicians invested in protecting the status quo, but are instead the people who deal with the health and well-being of our families every day and see the need for change first hand:"

TPM writes Major White House Players To Run Point On Senate Health Care Bill. "White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Nancy Ann DeParle, Obama's chief health care adviser, are expected to be at the table throughout the talks. White House Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag also is set to play a role, primarily on issues where health care and the federal budget intersect."

Now if they could just figure out how to combat micro-ideas.

Obama is turning into my worst nightmare......Jimmy Carter.

He stands for nothing. Sure he talks a good talk, but then...nothing.

The day he took office, he should have ordered the Justice Department to begin immediate investigations into illegal financial activities related to the economic meltdown and to torture carried out by US personnel.

Then he should have laid out a simple health reform agenda with no more that 5 or 6 goals and told the Democratic Congress to go make it happen....and then hold them to it, instead of letting it turn into a circus and freak show.

Then he should have made closing Guantanimo Bay by year's end a done deal. What, we can't give halliburton a billion dollars to reopen alcatraz, and make it so that the showers electrocute the prisoners.

Next he should be rapidly withdrawing troops from Iraq and finalizing a new political strategy for Afghanistan, cause their ain't no military solution to be had there.

If he had done these things, he would have the vast majority of the public behind him, but he has dithered.

Unfortunately, he has proven himself to be an empty suit.....all talk and no action.

So far to me, he looks like a peanut farmer.

It's no wonder the repubs can call him a liar during a speech to a Joint Session of Congress, and get rewarded for it.

While, as far as I know, he's not quite a liar....there is little evidence to show that he means what he says.
