Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

TIred of This
Would be nice to have a different forecast for a change...
Hot, sultry nights followed by blast-furnace days are only a short flight to DFW away... presently it's 98F here atop a hill in Arlington Heights, and a balmy 101.3 at the Naval Air Station. There's no chance of rain and very little change in temperature showing on the forecast. I'm guessing the first anglos who settled here started off in the late fall, and by the time they found out what the weather was like in the summer they had sunk too much effort into building their hovels to abandon them so they just stayed.
