Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.
The comments also mention iTiVo, any experiences with that?

I've been using iTivo for awhile now... The UI kinda sucks, but it does the job most of the time. I *HAVE* used it to transcode files, but most of the time I find myself using it to simply download and decrypt content off my Tivo to archive on my Time Capsule.
Then it's real easy to use pyTivo or TivoToComeBack (built into the offical Tivo Desktop) to beam the archives back to the Tivo without losing any fidelity.

Oh yeah, I have "RemoteT" too (which used to be called "Tivo Remote" or something).
It works great, and it makes entering text into the Tivo a breeze (much better than using the d-pad on the real remote).
The UI is lame, but it seems pretty stable.
