I've been using the Internet Movie Database since the early nineties when it was a few lists on Usenet. I've been surprised and pleased when I've seen the concept move to other fields like the IBDB, ITDb, IBookDB, comicbookdb.
Today I learned about the The Chef and Restaurant Database (ChefDb). It started in Canada about 10 years ago but there are now 284 restaurants listed from Boston. Good to know.
