As he points out, Republicans "don't think the deficit is a problem...Rather, they think federal spending on liberal social programs is a problem" and I agree with that. And he's not sure why Democrats think it's a problem, they've probably just let the Republicans control the conversation again. There's more in the short article and it's worth a read.
