Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

Ballot Measures
A black man can lead us but two gay people can't marry (AZ, CA, FL) or adopt children (AK), but at least abortion rights (CA, CO, SD) and pot (MA, MI) did well.

Yes, we have come a long way.
But, the black man still had to "denounce" gay marriage in order to get elected President of the United States.
Well I could see an argument that with a black president, do we need affirmative action any longer. I think so for a while, but it's at least a discussion to have.

One step at a time.
Even with a black president-elect, affirmative action still seems to be an issue, based on the tight race in CO.
