Mirandizing the Times Square Bomber

Seriously what is wrong with people complaining about Mirandizing the Times Square Bomber?

Everyone detained by police (regardless of citizenship) in the US already has miranda rights (the right to remain silent, the right to an attorney, etc.). Reading them is just a very important formality because if you don't explicitly read them to someone being detained, then any info obtained from them could be inadmissible. Why would we want this? A Senator that doesn't know this (particularly one who talks about it) should resign.

For some extra irony a Senator that doesn’t know his rights should be detained without being told why and extradited to an American-run prison in a foreign country.
