John From Cincinnati?
Would someone please explain HBO's John From Cincinnati to me? Or at least tell me why I'm still watching it?

Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

All will be revealed next week.
I've only seen one entire episode and part of another few -- enough to realize that I don't want to watch it. But it is clear that John is meant to be Jesus Christ -- the hint is the initials J in John and C in Cincinnati. Beyond that, I'm sure there is some sort of biblicial symbolism, but I couldn't tell you what it is.
You can be watching John from Cincinnati... or you can be practicing the "binary solo" (from Flight of the Conchords :)
I have a dual Tuner TiVo Series 3, I can do both, in HD :)
That would be: in one part - some biblical symbolism; in another - two dudes in robot-costumes doing binary solo... yeah, there is something to it :)

man, that is some accompaniment to JC show ...LOL
Well I can't say all was revealed, but I liked the last episode better than the others. It felt more like Deadwood to me, maybe I was just finding the rhythm. Still, if there is a 2nd season, I won't be watching.
