How I Got Off My Computer And Onto The Street At Occupy Oakland

Lili Loofbourow wrote a too long post The Livestream Ended: How I Got Off My Computer And Onto The Street At Occupy Oakland. There's a bit too much metaphor about the ephemeral chalk shadows but this was new to me and pretty disturbing...

"To sum up: the only two mainstream media live-feeds switched off at precisely the same instant—the minute before fifteen police departments working together engulfed a peaceful group of protesters in tear gas."

Apparently ABC and CBS had live broadcasts that stopped just before the action. I've heard nothing else about this but if true, it's pretty disturbing.
