I'm really wondering if Al Franken might be the most effective freshman Senator ever. TPM writes, Senator Franken’s Small Victory on the Bond Rating Agencies. Based on this story I'm pretty unhappy with Barney Frank's involvement (he's my Rep), makes me curious for the details.

Frank seems to be a stealth supporter of Big Money (Wall Street et al...). While he talks a good talk and appears to be in support of financial reform, he seems to disappear on the really tough or important aspects of reform.
Can't cite anything specific, but it is something that I have observed and which has puzzled me for about a year now.
