Notes from Howard's Sabbatical from Working. The name comes from a 1998 lunch conversation. Someone asked if everything man knew was on the web. I answered "no" and off the top of my head said "Fidel Castro's favorite color". About every 6-12 months I've searched for this. It doesn't show up in the first 50 Google results (this blog is finally first for that search), AskJeeves says it's: red.

Futurama Will Return
26 new Futurama episodes in 2010. "Futurama becomes only the second series in the history of the medium to go back into production based on the strength of its DVD sales and repeat airings on cable."
Eeeeee! I am so excited. I have all of the seasons on DVD and all of the movies. I have always liked Futurama better than the Simpsons, but when you make a Simpsons reference everyone knows it, when you make a Futurama reference, blank stares are your reward.
I think that cable TV and the internet have brought much more variety to the video (and cinema) entertainment industry and a way for niche products to make enough money that they are created in the first place. The quality isn't always good, but there is something for everyone, and the distribution to let them find it.
