Obama's Task On Guantanamo and Intelligence

The Wall Street Journal editorial page has been crazier than usual, I won't link to it. But the Journal does have this good article, Difficult Choices Await New President on Guantanamo, Intelligence Policies.

"Overhauling the extraordinary legal framework established under President George W. Bush after the 9/11 attacks may prove among the most difficult -- and urgent -- tasks on President-elect Barack Obama's agenda. While the nation's economic crisis and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan may be higher priorities for most Americans, Mr. Obama will have to decide quickly whether to permit the military-commission trials under way at Guantanamo Bay to proceed. He also must weigh the fates of hundreds of detainees held there in legal limbo."
