India Is Going to the Moon

India's unmanned lunar mission ready for launch. "The Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft, seen from behind glass at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) center in Bangalore in September, 2008. India is making final preparations for its first mission to the moon, officials said over the weekend."

The launch is scheduled for October 22nd and the craft will orbit the moon but not land on the surface.
