Gas Tax Follies

Here are two articles from last week on the gas tax proposals. First Paul Krugman with Gas tax follies: "John McCain has a really bad idea on gasoline, Hillary Clinton is emulating him (but with a twist that makes her plan pointless rather than evil), and Barack Obama, to his credit, says no."

Then Mike Lillis provides some Gas Math. "In fact, if the laws of supply and demand mean anything to anyone anymore, dropping the price of gas will encourage greater consumption, pushing up demand and hiking the price."
