Bush and Broadband

The US is not as wired as other nations and the administration has stated it wanted to help fix that. Paul Krugman writes "But the Bush administration has an answer: move the goalposts, and declare Connection Accomplished. Seriously, this is disgusting. Declare that 200 kb/second is broadband; declare that if anyone in a Zip code has broadband so defined, everyone has broadband access; and then have the Commerce Secretary laud the president’s policies for creating this ‘success.’"
