The Daily Show - Now Less Dailier

I was looking forward to the Daily Show coverage of Gonzales resigning, but tonight's episode seemed...familiar. Checking the schedule I see two week of reruns. The next new episode is not merely post Labor Day but a week later on September 10th. Grrrr.

Same goes for Colbert.

To the TiVo To Do List Robin! Time to hit cancel scheduled recording a lot.

I'm sure it's hard to be funny 4 nights a week, but I'm guessing Stewart makes two orders of magnitude more than I do and gets about 3x the time off I do.

Maybe when we have a president who's not on permanent vacation, Stewart will work more too.

I wonder when there are reruns on how much is actual vacation and how much is saving up segments for future broadcasts. If you're making Jon Stewart money, taking all the time off is fine. If you're making cameraman or assistant writer money, it must be annoying.

Depends on if they're salaried, I guess. And I'm also guessing that the writers and producers are still writing and producing during the time off. Or building a new set, as they seem to do every time JS goes on vakay.

In any case, they should take the Carson route and get a substitute host.
